Course Objectives
The course aims are to:
• Reflect the antibiotic stewardship initiatives being in place worldwide
• Reflect the scientific background of antibiotic stewardship interventions
• Learn the basic principles of antimicrobial resistance and consumption surveillance
• Reflect the quality management aspects of antimicrobial stewardship
• Learn the practical aspects of antimicrobial stewardship interventions
• Learn the aspects of antibiotic stewardship in various settings: hospital (wards, surgery, ICU, haematology), primary care, general public, long-term care facilities
• Learn about barriers to antimicrobial stewardship and how to address them, using behaviour change theories

Inschrijven

Registration Procedure
Register now online on the ESCMID website at www.escmid.org/education.
Registration deadline is 20 March 2016.

Registration Fee
EUR 595 for ESCMID members (Full Membership/Young Scientist Membership)
EUR 795 for all others

The fee includes the tuition, 2 nights stay in the hotel (Wednesday and Thursday night), 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 1 dinner and coffee breaks.
Travel is not included. Hotel reservations will be handled on a first-come-first-served basis.

Attendance Grants
ESCMID provides a number of attendance grants for ESCMID “young scientist members”.
The grant covers the registration fee. Travel is not included. Please apply via the ESCMID website at www.escmid.org/education before 1 February 2016.
Applicants will be informed about their acceptance by 15 February 2016.

CME Accreditation
The organizers of the course will apply for European CME accreditation through EACCME.
