About Victoria Garcia Cerebrones
Meet Victoria
As Society Secretary, Victoria Garcia Cebrones supports board members of (medical) associations in carrying out their tasks. This may involve devising and elaborating on protocols, regulations, and newsletters, as well as managing correspondence.
She also maintains the websites of the associations and the membership administration of 2 associations. Additionally, she oversees the verification process of European burn centers.
Working at Congress Care
As a medical secretary, I worked at the burn center in Beverwijk and later at the Dutch Burns Foundation/Euro Skin Bank. In 1998, I was asked if I wanted to handle the membership administration and secretariat of the European Burns Association (EBA).
I ended up at Congress Care because the EBA was looking for a company that could professionalise the association and also organise their conferences. This meant that my workplace had to move to 's-Hertogenbosch. And I have never regretted it! I joined a small and very close-knit team, who welcomed me with open arms and taught me a lot about organising conferences.
What else does Victoria do?
Because nature is very dear to me, I volunteered at the Hedgehog Sanctuary to help weak or young hedgehogs get through the winter by caring for them in our (enclosed) garden before releasing them back into the wild.
I rediscovered my Spanish roots by starting to dance Flamenco. Olé! Besides this activity, I play tennis with a group of friends, which is always followed by a drink.
Furthermore, I enjoy crocheting gifts for family, friends, and colleagues, I love reading, and I enjoy making tapas for friends.
