About Pepijn Klerkx
Meet Pepijn
Since January 2021, Pepijn has been one of the four co-owners of Congress Care. After starting as a project assistant in 2009, he gradually took on more and new responsibilities. When the opportunity arose to become one of the co-owners, he seized the chance and took on the challenge.
Although things are naturally a bit less straightforward during the Covid pandemic than before, it is no less enjoyable. Within the management team, Pepijn is responsible for customer and relationship management, a portion of sponsor acquisition, and he is involved in various projects throughout the year.
Working at Congress Care
In 2008, I graduated from the Hoge Hotelschool Leeuwarden. During my final phase, I specialised by taking modules in Professional Conference & Event Management for six months. That's where my enthusiasm for organising projects was strengthened. It's hard to imagine, but jobs were not readily available at the time, especially not those kinds! Eventually, I managed to start at Congress Care. A choice that, understandably, I have not regretted to this day.
What I enjoy about working at Congress Care is the opportunity that the type (size) of the company offers to truly guide and execute projects from A to Z. I notice this throughout all levels of the organisation. Back then as a project assistant and even now as a director. We build long-term relationships with our clients here. This generally translates into pleasant collaborations, where people often understand each other with just a few words.
What else does Pepijn do?
The pitfall of having your own business is that it can take a toll on your personal life. I have to be careful with this to a limited extent. I'm a proud father of my sons Sepp and Sam and my daughter Bo. Naturally, a lot of time goes into caring for these three. It's valuable time, which we try to enjoy to the fullest. Besides, I am an avid enthusiast of craft beers and enjoy tasting them with friends.
Looking forward to seeing you for a cup of coffee!
