Working at Congress Care
When I had to make a study choice, many options came up, but a study in events and organization wasn't initially on my list. However, I ultimately decided to pursue a study in Event Management in Den Bosch; it was initially intended as an intermediate step towards another degree. As for that other degree? I never pursued it! I quickly realised that I wanted to continue in the events industry.
What I enjoy most about the profession is the mix between office work and the days when you're physically on location. Moreover, the excitement surrounding the organisation of a meeting gives me energy. My first work experience was gained at a light art festival that takes place once a year, but I find organising too enjoyable to limit it to just one event per year. That's why I decided to join Congress Care, where I can assist in various conferences and symposiums to my heart's content.
What else does Britt do?
My broad interest in previous studies also reflects my hobbies. In my free time, I enjoy doing a variety of things! When the weather is nice, I love being outside and soaking up the sun! Preferably in the garden with a good book or on the terrace with friends. I also often visit thrift stores because I love second-hand finds. Additionally, I'm taking a French course, just because I find it enjoyable. Recently, I've been spending more time in the kitchen baking sweets. I usually end up making too much.. Luckily, I have plenty of colleagues at Congress Care who can help with taste-testing!
